What Supplies Will You Need To Use Cricut Infusible Ink?

To do the Cricut Infusible Ink project, you will need the following supplies:

 

·         Infusible Ink

·         Cricut Infusible Ink Blanks

·         80lb White Cardstock (or four layers of butcher paper)

·         Cricut Easy Press 2 Machine

·         Tweezers (for picking up paper)

·         Cricut Easy Press Mat

·         Lint roller (for fabric blanks) or lint-free cloth (for coaster blanks)

·         Cricut Heat Resistant Tape (if using infusible ink pen/marker)

·         Butcher Paper

 

Detailed Instructions: How To Use Cricut Infusible Ink

Now that you know what you will need to make a Cricut Infusible Ink project, follow the steps to use Cricut Infusible Ink given below:

1.    First, select the Cricut Infusible Ink blank.

 

2.    Next, select Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet. They are available in different colors and patterns.

3.    After that, make a design in the Cricut Design Space software (App).

4.    Then, cut out your design using the Cricut machine (Cricut Joy, Maker, Explore Air 2). Make sure to mirror your design before cutting. Then, choose infusible ink as your material for cutting. Put the infusible ink transfer sheet on the cutting mat with the color side up. 

5.    Now, weed your design by peeling the cutting mat away from the cut design. Bend the cut transfer paper slightly and roll until you hear a slight crackling noise when the cuts separate. Then, remove the excess paper, leaving you with only a cut-out design on the liner.

6.    Put a piece of butcher’s paper on the blank you’re using to preheat it at 385 degrees for 15 seconds. It helps to remove any moisture. **Each piece of Infusible Ink has a piece of butcher paper.

7.    Lastly, use the Cricut Easy Press 2 and the Cricut Heat Guide (for the settings required for the material) to transfer your design to the infusible ink blank. If you’re applying pressure to the shirt, put a piece of cardstock in the middle of the shirt so that the design does not flow through the back of the shirt. Lay the cut design blank, color side down. Put the butcher paper over the cut design and press according to the Cricut Heat Guide settings for the material. Allow the shirt or blank to cool completely before removing the film. This much only!
